Impact Jankowski was removed following the top of the eighth inning after an awkward slide into second base. Texas manager Bruce Bochy said the move was out of precaution. Josh Smith finished out the game in left field.

Impact Lowe returned to the third spot in the order after spending the last two games batting fifth. Texas manager Bruce Bochy said having Josh Jung, who normally bats fifth, serve in the three hole was an experiment against lefties following Monday's game, but the manager swapped the two again Tuesday against a right-hander. If the manager settles on Lowe being farther down the order, it's not because the first baseman is struggling. Lowe has hit safely in seven of the last eight games, going 10-for-29 with a 1.017 OPS.

Jonah Heim - Goes yard Wednesday Heim went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the White Sox.
Impact Heim has homered three times over his last five contests, but this was his first multi-hit effort since June 13. The catcher's power surge has him up to 10 homers on the year, six shy of matching his total from last year. He's enjoyed a breakout year with a .276/.327/.465 slash line, 54 RBI, 38 runs scored and two stolen bases through 65 contests as a fairly regular part of the lineup for a strong offense.

Ezequiel Duran - Homer and steal in win Duran went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the White Sox.
Impact Duran has multiple hits in three of his last four games. His homer was his second in 15 contests in June, while the steal was his first since May 19. The 24-year-old has solid numbers on the year with a .319/.355/.524 slash line, nine homers, four steals, 30 RBI and 29 runs scored through 200 plate appearances. Duran has seen most of his playing time in left field lately, and if Travis Jankowski's undisclosed injury from Wednesday proves serious, Duran could get a bit more job security.

Martín Pérez - Earns seventh win Perez (7-3) earned the win Wednesday over the White Sox. He allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out two over seven innings.
Impact Perez earned his fifth quality start in his last seven outings, though the two exceptions in that span have generally offset the positives. He snapped a four-start winless skid with this effort despite throwing just 59 of 100 pitches for strikes. Perez has walked multiple batters in five of his last six starts, and he hasn't struck out more than five in any of those games. For the season, he's at a 4.38 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 56:28 K:BB through 84.1 innings over 15 starts. He's lined up for a home start versus the Tigers next week.
