Erik Swanson - Makes delayed rehab debutSwanson (groin) fired a scoreless sixth inning in Triple-A Tacoma's loss to Reno on Saturday, allowing one hit.
ImpactSwanson was originally scheduled to kick off his rehab assignment with the Rainiers last Monday, but some back soreness following a tune-up bullpen session during the preceding weekend put a hold on those plans. However, the right-handed reliever encouragingly was able to tolerate a solid 20-pitch workload over his one frame Saturday, and he'll likely make at least one more rehab appearance before activation is considered.

Julio Rodríguez - Impressive in first Double-A weekRodriguez hit .333 (7-for-21) with a double, a home run, four RBI, five walks, one hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and three runs over his first six games with Double-A Arkansas.
ImpactThe slugging phenom essentially hasn't skipped a beat since his promotion from High-A Everett, where he'd frequently outmatched opposing arms. Rodriguez has reached safely in all six contests with the Travelers, and although the Mariners would certainly benefit, service-time-wise, from keeping him at the Double-A level the rest of the season, the ultra-talented Rodriguez may eventually force the issue with respect to a promotion to Triple-A Tacoma.

Paul Sewald - Notches sixth holdSewald secured his sixth hold in a win over the Rangers on Sunday, allowing one hit and recording two strikeouts over a scoreless eighth inning.
ImpactThe 31-year-old continued his stretch of dominance, one in which he's now strung together 13.2 consecutive scoreless innings across 15 appearances. Sewald has compiled a fantasy-friendly allotment of three victories, one save and four holds over that span as well, all while also generating an elite 16.5 K/9. With the Mariners' closer situation a fairly fluid one, Sewald's body of work and swing-and-miss stuff could certainly afford him additional save opportunities in coming weeks.

Drew Steckenrider - Gets second holdSteckenrider secured his second hold in a win over the Rangers on Sunday, firing a perfect seventh inning.
ImpactSteckenrider didn't record any strikeouts, but he fired six of an efficient 10 pitches for strikes during his one frame. The right-hander has proven quite the find for the Mariners, as he's now sporting a 2.32 ERA and 1.00 WHIP to go along with a pair of wins, holds and saves apiece across 27 appearances.

Since then, he is batting .231 with just six RBI and five runs. However, on the season he is slashing .270/.306/.522 with 20 long balls, 58 RBI, 40 runs and eight steals in 307 plate appearances.
