Danny Jansen - Smacks two homers in loss Jansen went 3-for-4 with two homers, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's loss to the Orioles.

Impact Jansen provided Toronto's only offense Thursday, launching solo homers off Tyler Wells in the third and fifth innings while collecting three hits in total on the afternoon. The catcher had seen his average dip below .200 coming into Thursday's matchup after being held hitless in each of his previous three games. He's now up to eight long balls on the season and brought his average up to .214 with the three-hit performance.

Yusei Kikuchi - Strikes out seven over 4.2 innings Kikuchi did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over 4.2 innings against the Orioles. He struck out seven.

Impact Aside from allowing an RBI single to Gunnar Henderson in the first, Kikuchi was able to pitch his way out of trouble through the first four innings while striking out six. However, he would go on to cough up the game-tying run on a leadoff homer from Adley Rutschman to start the fifth after leaving a four-seamer over the middle of the plate. The lefty has now allowed two earned runs in four consecutive starts while posting 19 strikeouts to only four walks in the month of June.

George Springer - Hits solo homer in win Springer went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the Orioles.

Impact Springer crushed a hanging changeup over the left field wall in the top of the sixth inning to provide the Blue Jays with their first run of the game and later came around to score another insurance run in the eighth. It was the right-fielder's tenth long ball of the season and his third in the month of June. He's currently riding a five-game hitting streak, with three two-hit games over that stretch to go along with two RBI and five runs scored.

Alek Manoah - Slated for simulated game Manoah will throw a five-inning simulated game at the Blue Jays' spring training complex in Florida on Thursday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Impact The early feedback from Manoah's work in Dunedin has been positive and he has been cleared to face hitters for the first time while there. A timetable for the big right-hander's return to Toronto remains very much up in the air.

Jordan Romano - Allows one run, collects 19th save Romano picked up the save Wednesday against the Orioles, allowing one run on three hits with no walks over one inning. He struck out one.

Impact Romano appeared to be cruising to his 19th save Wednesday, retiring the first two batters he faced in the ninth inning on a total of six pitches. He made things interesting after that, however, surrendering three consecutive singles, one of which led to a run being scored to pull the Orioles within two, with two runners on. Fortunately, the right-hander was able to stop the bleeding with a strikeout over Adam Frazier to end the game. The reliever has now converted each of his last nine save opportunities and trails only Emmanuel Clase (20) for the league lead.
