George Springer - Exits with apparent ankle injurySpringer exited Saturday's game against the Mariners in the bottom of the seventh inning with an apparent left ankle injury, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
ImpactHe grabbed his left leg/ankle after running into the center field wall while attempting to make a play. It sounded like he was limping pretty badly as he exited the field, so this could be worse than a day-to-day situation. Corey Dickerson came in to play right field with Randal Grichuk sliding over to center.

ImpactSoria is pain-free and nearing activation. He currently sports a streak of five straight scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and three saves over that stretch. Jordan Romano has been working as Toronto's closer, but he doesn't have a firm grip on that job. Regardless of his role, Soria should work in high-leverage spots once healthy.

Mallex Smith - Dealt to TorontoSmith was traded from the Reds to the Blue Jays on Saturday and was assigned to Triple-A Buffalo, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.
ImpactSmith was not on Cincinnati's 40-man roster and it's unclear what the Reds will receive from Toronto in this transaction. He is known for being a big-time stolen-base threat, but the rest of his game leaves a lot to be desired. It's possible he could serve as a pinch running specialist for the big club at some point down the stretch.
