Logan Gilbert - Lasts four frames against TorontoGilbert (5-4) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Blue Jays after allowing five runs on eight hits across four innings, fanning three.

ImpactGilbert gave up two homers Sunday, and both came in the second inning when Teoscar Hernandez and Randal Grichuk took him deep. The right-hander has been inconsistent of late and has gone 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA in three starts during the current month.

ImpactMatz recorded his 10th win of the season, and while he ended just three outs away from recording a quality start, it's worth noting that he has allowed two or fewer earned runs in each of his last three contests. Perhaps more importantly, Matz managed to bounce back following a subpar effort in his previous start when he tossed 4.2 innings while allowing four runs (two earned). The left-hander owns a 1.15 ERA through three appearances this month.

ImpactThough he didn't score or produce any runs while batting out of the No. 9 spot, Espinal did his part to turn the lineup over and run up pitch counts on Mariners starter Logan Gilbert and the three relievers Seattle used on the afternoon. Espinal was making his sixth consecutive start at third base and appears to have at least temporarily moved ahead of Breyvic Valera, who started at second base after being withheld from the lineup the previous two days.
