Impact Megill mowed through the Phillies and produced his first double-digit strikeout performance since his 2021 rookie campaign. Outside of a bases-loaded jam in the third inning, he didn't face much of a threat despite throwing only 53 of 92 pitches for strikes. Megill generated a season-high 14 whiffs. He dropped his ERA to a terrific 1.09 with a 30:11 K:BB through 24.2 frames. Megill's next start is expected to be in Washington this weekend.

Shaky in loss to Twins Megill (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Twins after giving up four runs (two earned) on eight hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out three.
Impact While Megill started his outing with two scoreless innings, the following three frames were a bit more troublesome. Two of Megill's runs went unearned due to Francisco Lindor's fielding error in the third inning, and the right-hander gave up two runs across his final two frames before his night ended. Just one of Megill's eight hits went for extra bases, though. Despite submitting a 1.34 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB over 19.1 innings (four starts), Megill has been limited the damage by turning in a 1.40 ERA ahead of his next scheduled start against the Cardinals at home this weekend.

Impact Megill has been strong to begin the season, giving up one run on five hits and four walks over his first 10.1 innings. He's also racked up 10 strikeouts. He threw 48 of 82 pitches for strikes in his second start of the campaign, and he racked up nine whiffs. His fastball was back down to an average of 95.3 mph, just a little under his 2024 season average and 1.1 mph less than his season debut. The right-hander is tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Marlins next week.
