Impact Verstappen would see Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri set the pace in Q1 and Q2 but he would save his best laps for Q3. Vestappen would reach down deep and muster a lap of 1:26.983 which would be fastest of the weekend. The Red Bull Racing star beat out Norris by just 0.012-seconds to claim pole position for the Japanese Grand Prix. Verstappen will be tasked with a tall order to hold off both McLarens Sunday on the Suzuka Circuit.
