Impact There would be an upset, surprise winner in the NASCAR regular season finale. Briscoe would run a smart race and be in striking distance down the stretch. The Stewart Haas Racing driver would take the lead from Kyle Larson after a late caution and restart and hang on to the end. Briscoe would fend off a late challenge from Kyle Busch to secure his first victory of the season and clinch a spot in next week's Chase for the Cup playoffs.

Inks multi-year deal with JGR Briscoe has signed a multi-year deal with Joe Gibbs Racing to drive the No. 19 Toyota Camry XSE starting in 2025 with primary sponsorship from Bass Pro Shops.
Impact This was one of the worst kept secrets in NASCAR over the last couple weeks and the beans were spilled when Christopher Bell accidentally revealed the driver last Friday in his press conference who would be joining the JGR brigade next season after Martin Truex Jr. retires. What we didn't know was that Bass Pro Shops would remain on board and continue to support the No. 19 car going forward. That's certainly a big deal for all parties involved and a reason that Briscoe was signed to a multi-year deal. He will also remain with Truex's current crew chief of James Small. Briscoe was one of the top names on the free agent market with Stewart-Haas Racing deciding to close their doors at season's end. Briscoe has a Cup Series win under his bet back in 2022 at Phoenix Raceway. He later advanced to the Round of 8 that season. Briscoe is 29-years-old and this will be the best equipment the Indiana-native has ever been in. He has certainly shown flashes but will need to improve on consistency to keep up with three superstar teammates in Bell, Denny Hamlin and Ty Gibbs.

Runner-up Finish in Loudon Briscoe finished second in the USA Today 301 NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Impact Briscoe would start deep in the field at 23rd on the starting grid. The Stewart Haas racing veteran would use sound pit strategy and survival skills in this race that would finish in wet conditions on rain tires. Briscoe would take advantage of an overtime restart to hold off teammate, Josh Berry, to secure the impressive runner-up finish. It was his second Top 5 and best finish of the 2024 season.
