Crash and DNF at Charlotte Elliott crashed and finished 33rd in the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday evening. Impact This 600-mile classic would feature many multi-car wrecks and a long list of drivers who would not finish at Charlotte. Unfortunately, after leading 86 laps earlier in the night, Elliott would be among those collected. He would get rolled up in a huge crash along the front stretch on lap 193. The No. 9 Chevrolet would sustain significant damage, but attempt to move on. However, the team could not complete repairs to Elliott's car in time and NASCAR would retire his entry based on the damaged vehicle policy. It was his first DNF of the season.
