Third in QuikTrip 500 Busch finished third in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact Busch has been a historically strong performer at the Atlanta oval, and he made the transition to the new configuration flawlessly. The veteran driver of the No. 45 Toyota raced among the Top 10 most of the afternoon. He would avoid the several accidents that dotted the event. In the final sprint to the finish he'd shore up great track position and make a challenge for the win. Busch would fall short, crossing the finish line third. Still, it was a great performance and his second Top 5 of the season.

Impact The 23XI Racing veteran had a good day in the Arizona desert. Busch started 15th on the grid and didn't have the best car, but patience would pay off. The team would gradually make the car better and he would drive into the Top 10 during the final stage. The final caution and restart was a great opportunity for Busch to grab some spots. He would get around Kevin Harvick to secure a strong fifth-place finish. It was Busch's first Top 5 of the season.
