Crew chief suspended Busch's crew chief Ben Beshore has been suspended for the next four events after a wheel came off the car at Las Vegas last week, Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports.

Impact This is the standard penalty that we have seen all season for a wheel coming lose off the car. The jackman and tire changer on the No. 18 car have also been suspended for the next four events. That will mean those team members will miss the rest of this season and the The Clash to begin the 2023 campaign. Busch is already announced to be leaving for Richard Childress Racing after this season is over. No driver has yet to be announced in the No. 18 car for 2023, but all signs point to that being Ty Gibbs. Whether or not the team decides to keep Beshore on board as the crew chiefs is yet to be determined.

Third at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Busch finished third in the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact It would be an eventful day at the track for the Joe Gibbs Racing star. Busch would overcome spinning through the grass and a lost wheel at one point. He would rally back to the front and get back inside the Top 10 during stage 3. Busch came on strong down the stretch and would pass Chase Briscoe in the final laps to claim an impressive third-place finish. It was his eighth Top 5 of the 2022 season.
