Wins closest finish ever Larson won the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway on Sunday by 0.001 seconds over Chris Buescher, making it the closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history. Impact This season has already delivered NASCAR fans some spectacular finishes and Sunday night at Kansas was probably the best of the bunch. Larson lined up 3rd for the final GWC restart on two tires like most of the other leaders. He quickly made it three-wide with Denny Hamlin and Chris Buescher entering turn one. He ended up coming out of turn two in second and was chasing down Buescher in front. On the last lap he got a good run off turn two and jumped to the high side of Buescher entering turn three. The two banged their way back to the start finish line where it was just too close to call. Initially scoring had Buescher as the winner, but upon further review it was Larson who by the slimmest of margins reached the line first. The win is the second of the season for Larson who extends his point lead. Larson led 63 laps in this one and now has 25 career Cup Series wins. He is going to be a factor at most tracks we go to and Darlington next week has been one of the best for both Larson and the No. 5 team.
