Fifth-Place at Martinsville Larson finished fifth in the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Impact Larson rebounded from his bad luck on the Bristol dirt of two weeks ago and turned a strong performance in the Blue-Emu 500. The driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet would start 19th on the grid and gradually move his way forward. By stage 3 Larson was solidly inside the Top 5 and contending for the win. The Hendrick Motorsports star couldn't run down the faster Toyotas but would still collect a strong Top-5 finish by lap 500. It was Larson's fourth Top 5 of the season.

Crash and Poor Finish at Bristol Larson crashed and struggled to finish 29th in the Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway Monday afternoon.
Impact A very popular top contender in this first Bristol dirt race was Larson. He would start from the rear of the field due to an engine change but would crack the Top 15 just 25 laps into the race. Things would turn sour quickly as the Hendrick Motorsports star would get wrapped up in a big, multi-car accident in turn 2 during lap 54. The damage would require pit road attention and cripple the remainder of Larson's race. He would limp home 29th by the checkered flag, 5 laps down to the leaders.

Moving to back of field Larson will move to the rear of the field for Monday's Food City Dirt Race at Bristol due to an engine change, Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic reports.
Impact Larson was scheduled to start on the pole but will instead move to the rear of the field with the team requiring an engine change.
