Crash and DNF at Homestead Larson crashed and finished 34th in the 4EVER 400 Presented by Mobil 1 NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday afternoon. Impact Larson would lead a race-high 96 laps and look to be in control most of the day at HMS. The Hendrick Motorsports star would see a possible win slip away on lap 214. Larson would come to pit road a bit to hot and nearly back-end Ryan Blaney as he was also pitting. The No. 5 Chevrolet would dodge a major impact with the No. 12 Ford but, unfortunately, make hard contact with the sand-filled barrels that guard the pit road entrance wall. Larson's car would be severely damaged and not continue. The DNF was a major disappointment for this driver and team.
