Runner-up Finish at Vegas Larson finished second in the Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact Larson raced among the leaders all afternoon at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He'd lead twice for 63 laps and seemingly be in position to win. However, a late caution would trigger an overtime restart. Larson would have to battle in a 2-lap shoot out with William Byron and he'd lose that battle. The runner-up finish was still a good result and his first Top 5 of the season.

Fast Las Vegas Practice Larson was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 184.407 mph.

Impact Larson beat out Ryan Blaney by a healthy margin in this lone practice for Sunday's 400-mile race at Vegas. The Hendrick Motorsports star was the only driver to top the 184 mph mark in this session. Larson is a past Las Vegas winner and looks to have the speed to challenge for the pole position Saturday afternoon at LVMS.

Impact The deal has been in the works for a while now and some details are starting to emerge on Larson's upcoming involvement in the Indianapolis 500. Rather than just a one-off start, the 2021 NASCAR champion looks to be in line for two starts in the Indy 500. Hendrick Motorsports is collaborating with McLaren on the deal, and more details are sure to come out soon.
