Fast Sonoma Practice Blaney was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway Friday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 97.866 mph.
Impact Blaney was one of the few Ford drivers to really impress among a pack of Toyota and Chevrolet drivers battling for the top of the scoring pylon at Sonoma. The Penske Racing star laid down a near-98 mph lap and edged Ty Gibbs by a narrow margin to lead this lone session.
