Wins Charlotte Pole Gibbs won the pole for the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 183.955 mph.

Impact Gibbs would build on a strong practice session at Charlotte and find even more speed during pole qualifying. The Joe Gibbs Racing youngster would knock off William Byron to claim the pole position for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600. It was his first-career Cup Series pole in his 65th start. Gibbs will be a Top-5 contender Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
