Starting at rear due to electrical issue Byron will drop to the rear for the start of Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen due to unapproved adjustments, Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports. Impact The team found an electrical issue this morning that needed to be fixed before the race. He will join a host of other fast cars dropping to the rear for the start of this race. Byron had qualified fourth and due to the passing difficulties at Watkins Glen, this is a terrible break for the No. 24 team, who has had bad luck for most of the summer. Byron did show a ton of speed in practice and dominated much of the Xfinity race yesterday with Ty Gibbs before being taken out at the end. Crew chief Rudy Fugle will have to pull some strategy to get their bullet back up front with his other Hendrick Motorsports teammates.
