Third in Fort Worth Byron finished third in the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon. Impact The Hendrick Motorsports star didn't have the dominant performance many expected at Texas Sunday. Byron would generally race around the Top 10 the full 400 miles, but he wouldn't lead a single lap on the day. The late cautions and restarts would give him a shot at the win. Byron would contact the rear bumper of Ross Chastain on the last lap of the second overtime attempt while battling for second-place. Chastain would crash and Byron would cruise on to the strong third-place finish. It was his fourth Top-5 finish of the season.
