Impact Roddy was inserted into the Hawks' starting five Wednesday due to Dyson Daniels (hip) being ruled out. Roddy ended up tied with No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher for third-most points on the Hawks behind Trae Young (35) and Jalen Johnson (21). Even if Daniels returns for Friday's game against Sacramento, Roddy should see plenty of playing time as Atlanta is extremely shorthanded due to injuries.

Impact Johnson was the second-leading scorer for the Hawks on Wednesday behind Trae Young (35) despite the former having an inefficient night from three-point range at at the charity stripe. However, the 2021 first-round pick made up for it on the glass as he grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds, six of which came on the offensive side of the floor. Johnson is averaging 16.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks through the first five games of the 2024-25 regular season.

Impact It was a nice bounce-back effort from Young on Wednesday after shooting just 2-for-15 from the field during Monday's loss to Washington. He logged his fourth double-double of the 2024-25 regular season and led both teams in both scoring and assists. He's shooting just 30 percent from three-point range, but he's made up for it at the free throw line where he is shooting at a 90.6 percent clip. Young and the Hawks will travel back to Atlanta to host the Kings on Friday.
