Cam Thomas - Out with back bruise Thomas was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Celtics after suffering a back contusion in the second quarter, Cassidy Hubbarth of ESPN reports.
Impact Thomas picked up the injury in question when he was assessed a foul on an offensive charge call with 4:22 remaining in the quarter. The rookie will finish the contest with three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound and two turnovers across four minutes.

Kyrie Irving - Back in action Sunday Irving will start at point guard in Sunday's game against the Celtics after he was ineligible to play in the Nets' previous three contests.
Impact Though New York City is expected to loosen its vaccine requirement Monday, as an unvaccinated employee of the Nets, Irving isn't expected to be eligible to play in the team's remaining home games, barring further changes in policy. With 10 of the Nets' final 22 games set to take place in Brooklyn, fantasy managers in weekly leagues will have to be mindful of the schedule before deciding whether to include Irving in active lineups. Beginning with Sunday, Irving will at least be available for the Nets' next three games -- all in road venues -- before bowing out of the lineup when the team returns home March 13 versus the Knicks.

While the fact that Simmons is traveling may seem like a positive development, Nash provided no indication that the three-time All-Star will be ready to practice by the end of the week while he continues to contend with back soreness. Until he's back practicing fully with Brooklyn, Simmons' team debut shouldn't be viewed as imminent.
