Rejoins NBA club The 76ers recalled Bassey from the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Thursday, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Impact Bassey will be available off the bench for Thursday's game against the 76ers, but he's unlikely see the court in a competitive contest so long as both of Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond suit up and don't succumb to foul trouble or an in-game injury. A rookie second-round pick, Bassey has impressed in his limited opportunities to date at the NBA level. He's appeared in 21 games, averaging 3.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 7.2 minutes while converting at a 67.5 percent clip from the field.
