Named All-Star Game MVP Lillard was named the NBA All-Star Game MVP on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Impact After winning the Starry 3-Point Contest on Saturday, Lillard led the Eastern Conference All-Stars in his first career All-Star Game start Sunday. He tallied 39 points (14-26 FG, 11-23 3Pt), six assists, three rebounds and a steal in 28 minutes to help the East log a 200-plus point total as a team for the first time in All-Star Game history. Lillard will now have a few days to rest before the Bucks resume play Friday in Minnesota. Over his four appearances leading up to the All-Star break, the 33-year-old averaged 21.0 points, 6.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 29.8 minutes per game.

Impact Lillard became the first back-to-back winner of the competition since Jason Kapono claimed consecutive wins in 2007 and 2008. The Bucks point guard was one of four of the contest's eight competitors to tie for the lead with 26 points in the first round, with Lilllard, Young and Minnesota's Karl-Anthony Towns all advancing to the final over Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton following a 30-second tiebreaker round. After Young and Towns turned in scores of 24 and 22 points, respectively, in the final round, Lillard tied Young's score after hitting a flurry of shots on the second-to-last rack, then missed four consecutive shots on the final rack before knocking down his last attempt to seal the win.

Goes for 24 before All-Star break Lillard ended with 24 points (7-21 FG, 3-13 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 113-110 loss to Memphis.
Impact Lillard had a rough time shooting the rock and was particularly woeful from three-point range, though he attempted enough field goals to deliver a decent stat line across the board. Lillard has adjusted well to being Milwuakee's second-best offensive alternative after spending most of his career as the alpha dog with the Trail Blazers. While his numbers have experienced a slight decrease, it hasn't been a massive issue from a fantasy perspective. He's averaging 24.6 points, 6.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game across 51 appearances in 2023-24.

The star point guard did manage to convert from deep for the 50th straight game to begin the campaign, though on a per-game basis his 2.9 triples per contest is on pace for his lowest mark since 2016-17. Lillard's overall output has dropped a bit now that he's playing alongside another dominant star in Giannis Antetokounmpo, but Lillard is still putting up healthy fantasy numbers with 24.6 points, 6.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game.
