Michael Porter Jr. - Expected back Friday Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said he thinks Porter (back) will be ready to play Friday against the Jazz, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.
Impact Porter popped up on the injury report ahead Wednesday due to injury management for a lumbar/spine issue and ultimately sat out the Nuggets' 110-99 win over the Lakers. Though the talented forward's long history of back issues made his appearance on the injury report somewhat worrisome, Malone indicated that the Nuggets were taking a big-picture approach with Porter's health. Malone added that Porter likely would have played Wednesday if the Nuggets really needed him to, so with a couple extra days of maintenance, the 24-year-old looks like he'll be ready to return to the lineup Friday with few restrictions, if any.

Impact The 29-year-old wing was in the midst of a productive night before he limped off to the locker room after he appeared to tweak his ankle on a layup attempt. He was able to rejoin the Nuggets on the bench after being evaluated, but he didn't check back into the contest while Denver took a 15-point lead into the fourth quarter. For the time being, Caldwell-Pope can be viewed as questionable heading into Friday's game against the Jazz, and if he can't suit up, Bones Hyland and Christian Braun would be candidates to absorb some of the vacated minutes.

Jamal Murray - Logs season-high 28 minutes Murray contributed 13 points (6-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists and two steals across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 110-99 win over the Lakers.
Impact The team is bringing Murray along slowly, and we are probably still a couple of weeks off from seeing him in the 30-minute range. As a ball distributor, Murray appears to be almost 100 percent, but he's still working out some kinks with his shot. We should see marked improvement from Murray as the season progresses.

Bruce Brown - Impressive in starting role Brown recorded 18 points (7-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists and two steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 110-99 victory over the Lakers.
Impact After coming off the bench for two consecutive games, Brown drew the start in place of Michael Porter (back). Although he saw a season-high in minutes due to the start, he's logging fantasy-relevant time with the second unit. Through five games, Brown is averaging 11.4 points, 3.4 assists. and 2.8 rebounds in 27.2 minutes per game.

Nikola Jokic - Just shy of triple-double Jokic chipped in 31 points (12-17 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 13 rebounds, nine assists and four steals in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 110-99 victory over the Lakers.
Impact Jokic turned in a superb performance Wednesday and was only one assist shy of a triple-double. Wednesday marked his third-double-double and his best scoring performance of the season. Jokic is almost averaging a triple-double with 22.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 9.4 assists over five games.

Impact The veteran landed on the injury report with a left finger sprain, but will nevertheless be available off the bench once again for the Nuggets on Wednesday. Green is averaging 9.3 points and 2.5 rebounds through the first four games this season.
