On track for Feb. 25 return The Knicks are optimistic Rose (ankle) will be ready to return to action when the team opens its post-All-Star break schedule Feb. 25 against the Heat, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN r... Impact Rose said in late January that he was targeting the start of the second half for making his return from a two-plus-month absence due to right ankle surgery, and it looks like he'll be able to meet that goal if he's able to avoid any setbacks in his recovery while he ramps up his workouts over the next week. While Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said Wednesday that Rose hasn't been cleared for contact, sources tell Wojnarowski that the 33-year-old is expected to reach that milestone in his rehab program in the next few days. Rose will presumably be on a strict minutes cap once he makes his return to action, and his addition will only make it more difficult to mine fantasy value from the New York backcourt. He'll be part of a melange of guards that includes Kemba Walker, Evan Fournier, Immanuel Quickley, Alec Burks and Quentin Grimes, with at least one of those players likely to drop out of the rotation entirely.
