Scores 15 points in return Brooks finished with 15 points (6-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Sunday's 125-118 victory over the Thunder.

Impact Brooks finally returned to the starting lineup following a lengthy absence and while the rust was expected, he still delivered a decent stat line. Considering this was his first appearance since Jan. 8, the Grizzlies might take a cautious approach with the shooting guard as the weeks advance, with the idea of having him fully prepared for the postseason.

In the end, Brooks will return to action for the first time since Jan. 8, putting an end to a string of 27 consecutive absences due to a severely sprained ankle. Brooks will likely be brought along slowly, but he should have enough time to ramp up to full speed before the start of the postseason.

Impact A sprained left ankle has kept Brooks out since early January. While the Grizzlies have played well without him, his presence will be huge down the stretch and into the playoffs. When seeing at least 30 minutes this season, he averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals. Brooks figures to have a significant minutes restriction in his first few games back, but fantasy managers that have held on for the whole season will finally get some production near the end of the fantasy season. His return will also presumably bump Ziaire Williams from the starting five, and John Konchar figures to have his role reduced as well.

Impact Brooks remains limited to taking part in only light work in practices while he works his way back from the injury he sustained in early January, but Jenkins suggested the swingman would soon take contact in 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 drills before being cleared to rejoin the lineup. Jenkins noted that he was uncertain whether Brooks would immediately reclaim a starting role once healthy, but the 26-year-old should eventually supplant rookie Ziaire Williams on the top unit after he gets a few games under his belt. Expect Brooks to remain out through at least the Grizzlies' Saturday/Sunday back-to-back set against the Magic and Rockets, but a return to the court at some point next week could be in the cards.
