The 7-foot-3 center was the only Wizards player to reach 20 points, though he was unusually quiet on the boards. Porzingis has scored at least 14 points in each of his seven games since joining Washington in February. His scoring output against the Lakers was his high mark as a Wizard.

His shooting should settle somewhere between both extremes in most games to come, but Porzingis showed Friday that he can continue to make up for off nights by getting to the free-throw line and hitting the boards. Porzingis hasn't cleared 26 minutes in any of three games with Washington to date, but his playing time should gradually pick up once he's further removed from the bone bruise in his knee that sidelined him for a month.
