Jonas Valanciunas - Doubtful for Friday Valanciunas (calf) is considered doubtful for Friday's matchup against Golden State, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.
Impact Valanciunas is still dealing with a left calf contusion and is on track to sit out again Friday. With Larry Nance (ankle) ruled out for a couple of weeks, Willy Hernangomez and Jaxson Hayes should continue to see increased roles. If Valanciunas can't play Friday, his next chance to see the floor will be Monday against the Kings.

Jaxson Hayes - Productive off bench Hayes produced 15 points (4-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals over 16 minutes during Wednesday's 121-110 victory over Portland.
Impact Hayes played 25 minutes during Monday's loss to Orlando but wasn't as productive as he was against the Trail Blazers, as he contributed on both ends of the court while matching his second-highest scoring total of the season. While Hayes should continue to see increased playing time while Larry Nance (ankle) is sidelined, his production will likely be inconsistent, particularly when Jonas Valanciunas (calf) returns to action.

CJ McCollum - Drops 24 points against former team McCollum registered 24 points (9-19 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds and seven assists across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 121-110 victory over the Trail Blazers.
Impact McCollum had been playing through a right thumb injury of late that may have played a part in him shooting 14 of 37 from the field and two of 17 from three-point range over the previous two contests, but his more efficient showing Wednesday might have restored the faith of fantasy managers. Brandon Ingram has taken over as the Pelicans' go-to option since returning from a toe injury in late January, but the continued absence of Zion Williamson (hamstring) leaves enough usage left over for McCollum to make a consistent impact in the scoring and assists columns.

He's now produced 25 points in nine of his last 10 games, shooting an impressive 50.7 percent from the field, 39 percent from three-point range and 88.3 percent from the free-throw line over that stretch. While Ingram came through with some useful numbers in the steals category Wednesday, he hasn't been reliably producing in that area of late. He hadn't recorded a steal in any of his previous five outings prior to Wednesday.
