Larry Nance Jr. - Out Monday Nance (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Orlando.
Impact Nance was spotted exiting the arena on crutches Saturday, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out a full day in advance of Monday's tip, and this could certainly extend into a multi-game absence. The Pelicans haven't released a timetable just yet, but at this juncture in the fantasy season, it's risky to roster injured players outside of an injured reserve spot. Expect more minutes for Naji Marshall and Trey Murphy while Nance is out, and perhaps Jaxson Hayes and Willy Hernangomez will be able to get back into the rotation.

Impact Though Nance's use of crutches might just be precautionary and not necessarily an indication that he's dealing with any structural damage to his ankle, it's nonetheless a sign that he's likely to miss some time on account of the injury. The Pelicans are expected to provide an update on Nance on Sunday, but for the time being, he looks doubtful to be available when New Orleans opens a three-game week Monday versus Orlando. Willy Hernangomez stepped in as the top backup to starting center Jonas Valanciunas following Nance's early exit Saturday.

Impact Daniels returned to action after missing the Pelicans' previous 12 games with an ankle injury. While he received the green light to suit up Saturday, it took until garbage time for him to actually get on the floor. Larry Nance (ankle) exited early and could miss time due to injury, but his absence looks as though it could prove to be more beneficial to Willy Hernangomez -- who played 11 minutes off the bench -- rather than Daniels.

Impact Hernangomez saw additional run in the loss, due primarily to the fact Larry Nance was forced from the court due to an ankle injury. While it will be matchup-dependent, Hernangomez could be a player to consider, even in 12-team formats, if Nance misses time moving forward. He has the ability to rack up stats in a hurry and given that Jonas Valanciunas isn't setting the world on fire, managers may want to consider grabbing Hernangomez.

Herbert Jones - Struggles again in loss Jones had six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 13 minutes during Saturday's 128-106 loss to the Knicks.
Impact Jones was terrible once again Saturday, continuing what has been a frustrating period for fantasy managers. Although he is just outside the top 100 for the season, his only positive category is steals. The Pelicans have lost four of their past five games and to say it hasn't been pretty is putting it nicely. While Jones will almost certainly be better than this, the fact remains he is buried when it comes to the offensive pecking order. If steals are not high on your list of priorities, Jones can be left for someone else to deal with.

Impact Valanciunas recorded his second straight double-double, although it came with very little fanfare. In what has been a rough season to date, Valanciunas currently sits outside the top 120 in nine-category formats, a far cry from his last three campaigns in which he finished as a top 50 player. He remains a viable asset but only offers upside in rebounds and field goal percentage.

Impact Richardson ran with the opening five Thursday, supplanting Trey Murphy who played just 23 minutes off the bench. While it is unclear whether this will stick for the foreseeable future, Richardson should certainly be on the radar across all formats at this point. Having provided solid two-way production in the past, he makes for an interesting acquisition. With clear top-90 upside, managers could do worse than grabbing him to see what happens.
