Larry Nance Jr. - Out Thursday Nance (knee) is out Thursday against the Heat.
Impact Nance is set to be re-evaluated soon. He's been out since early January with right knee inflammation. The next time he plays, he'll be debuting for his new team, the Pelicans. After a ramp-up period, it seems possible Nance could match the numbers he was accumulating with the Blazers, where he averaged 6.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 20 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.2 minutes.

Tony Snell - Expected to debut Thursday Snell (recently traded) is expected to make his Pelicans debut Thursday against the Heat.
Impact Snell held a relatively small role with the Trail Blazers, as he averaged just 2.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 14.4 minutes. His role isn't expected to increase significantly with the Pelicans. He'll be competing for reserve minutes on the wing with Garrett Temple, Trey Murphy, Naji Marshall and others. Even if his workload increases, Snell's usage is so minuscule that he won't be fantasy relevant.

CJ McCollum - To debut for Pels on Thursday McCollum is expected to make his Pelicans debut Thursday night against the Heat.
Impact McCollum was officially dealt from Portland to New Orleans on Tuesday afternoon. He, of course, did not play in Tuesday night's game against Houston, but after an off day Wednesday, all indications are that the veteran is planning to play Thursday night. McCollum is a lock to eventually slide into the starting shooting guard spot, but it's possible he could come off the bench for a game or two as he finds his footing with his new team.

Garrett Temple - Light run in return from COVID-19 Temple (COVID-19 protocols) played nine minutes off the bench and finished with zero points, one assist and one block in Tuesday's 110-97 win over the Rockets.
Impact Temple missed only two games while he was in the NBA's health and safety protocols, and though New Orleans was shorthanded after executing a blockbuster trade with Portland earlier in the day, head coach Willie Green didn't turn to the veteran wing for big minutes in his return to action. Temple may still be able to stick in the rotation ahead of the newly acquired Tony Snell, but the addition of CJ McCollum will likely prevent Temple from seeing a major jump in playing time from what he received Tuesday.

Naji Marshall - Gets run for shorthanded Pels Marshall ended Tuesday's 110-97 victory over Houston with 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 20 minutes.
Impact With the Pelicans shorthanded due to the trade that sent out, notably, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Josh Hart, Marshall found himself in the rotation. He played well against the struggling Rockets, matching his season-high 14 points and filling out the rest of the stat sheet as well. Once the Pels' new pieces are available, Marshall will presumably return to a role not conducive to fantasy relevance.

Jaxson Hayes - Strong performances continue Hayes ended with 14 points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 110-97 victory over the Rockets.
Impact Earlier in the season, it seemed like the Pelicans weren't going to feature Hayes much at all, but he's found his stride lately and has even been playing next to Jonas Valanciunas. That said, Hayes will presumably shift back to the bench once CJ McCollum (recently traded) is available, so fantasy managers should be wary regarding Hayes' upside.

Herbert Jones - Records first double-double Jones registered 10 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt), 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 110-97 victory over the Rockets.
Impact Jones took advantage of the lowly Rockets to post his first career double-double, which helped make up for his subpar efficiency. He also posted three assists for a second straight game and got three-plus steals for the 11th time. The Pelicans trading for CJ McCollum could slightly cut into Jones' usage, but the rookie is primarily a defensive asset.
