Impact Hayes had a larger role off the bench Tuesday with Jonas Valanciunas (rest) sitting out, but it was Willy Hernangomez that received the start and served as New Orleans' primary center. Hayes has 29 points (12-for-20 FG, 5-7 FT) and 12 rebounds in 39 minutes across the past two games and should continue to operate as the reserve center.

It was the first time all season Alvarado played more than 20 minutes in a game, and his role for Friday's matchup with Denver will depend on the health of the Pelicans' starting backcourt.

Impact Hernangomez didn't see the court in any of the previous nine games, but he entered the starting five and made his mark with Jonas Valanciunas resting Tuesday. He should return to a reserve role Friday against Denver with Valanciunas likely to be back in action.

Impact Graham, Josh Hart (ankle), Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Jonas Valanciunas (rest) are all out Tuesday, so the Pelicans will need a handful of reserves to set up in their absences.
