Impact Curry was initially listed as a starter for the Nets, only to be ruled out shortly before tip off due to a sore left ankle that he had apparently been managing for the last several days. Brooklyn later upgraded Curry's status to questionable once the game was underway, but since he didn't check into the contest at any point, he was seemingly only available in an emergency. While Curry's absence Sunday was a tough break for those that kept him active in fantasy lineups with the hope that he would take on a greater role in the absence of Kyrie Irving (ineligible), the 31-year-old at least looks like he's not dealing with a long-term injury. Clarification on Curry's status for the Nets' next game Tuesday in Orlando should arrive following the team's morning shootaround that day.

With Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both available, Curry took his fewest shoots since joining the Nets, which may continue as the two superstars will be likely be available for all three games next week. However, when Irving is ultimately sidelined again due to his vaccination status, Curry should slide right into the No. 2 option beyond Durant.

Impact Curry has fit in nicely with his new squad since joining Brooklyn as a secondary piece in the Feb. 10 blockbuster deal that sent Ben Simmons (conditioning) to the Nets and James Harden to the 76ers. While Simmons and Kevin Durant (knee) have missed each of Curry's first five games in Brooklyn and with Kyrie Irving sitting out each of the previous four contests before Saturday, Curry has quickly stepped in as a key component for the Nets. The veteran guard has averaged 19.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.6 treys in 31.8 minutes per game through five games in Brooklyn, and at least for the upcoming week, his fantasy value shouldn't take a major hit. Irving isn't eligible to play in the first three of the Nets' four games this week, Simmons is unlikely to play at all following a recent bout with back soreness during his conditioning ramp-up program, and Durant isn't expected to return until the back half of the week.
