Impact In his fourth game as a Net, Curry did what he could to try and keep Brooklyn in the game, but it simply wasn't enough. His 22 points led the team in scoring and he also tied for a team-high seven rebounds, but the Nets need more from their other contributors if they're going to have any chance to win games without Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant (knee). In the meantime, however, Curry should continue to see a 30-plus minute workload until Brooklyn's stars are good to go.

Impact Curry has looked good in both of his first two games with the Nets, reaching the 20-point mark both times out while compiling a total of 11 assists and eight boards. Though he could maintain a steady 30-minute starting role for the rest of the season, Curry's usage and overall output as a scorer will almost certainly go down once the likes of Kyrie Irving (ineligible), Ben Simmons (conditioning) and Kevin Durant (knee) are back in the fold. Simmons could be ready to make his Brooklyn debut in the Nets' first game out of the All-Star break Feb. 24 against the Celtics, while Irving will return to action for the team's Feb. 26 road game in Milwaukee. Durant, meanwhile, could be ready to go at some point in March.

Curry didn't miss a beat in switching offenses and will likely serve an equally important role on his new team in the short term, as the Nets are expected to remain without all of Kyrie Irving (ineligible), Ben Simmons (conditioning) and Kevin Durant (knee) through the All-Star break. Impact Both Curry and Andre Drummond are in the starting five as they debut for the Nets after coming over from Philadelphia at the trade deadline. With Kevin Durant (knee), Ben Simmons (conditioning) and Kyrie Irving (ineligible) all sidelined, Curry could be counted on as perhaps the Nets' top offensive option Monday. All three of those players are likely to remain out Wednesday (at NYK) and Thursday (vs. WAS), so expect Curry to carry a heavy burden for the free-falling Nets heading into the All-Star break.
