Malik Beasley - Off injury report Beasley (ankle) is off the injury report for Wednesday's season opener against the Nuggets.

Impact Beasley is healed from an ankle sprain and will start the year healthy with a chance to prove himself on the rebuilding Jazz. Whether or not he starts or comes off the bench, Beasley has upside to be a top-100 fantasy player if Utah gives him minutes in the upper-20s and lets him expand his game beyond being a pure three-point shooter. At the very least, managers should add him to their watchlist.

Impact Beasley seems to finally be healthy following an ankle sprain that limited his preseason action to just one contest. He looks to be trending towards playing in Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Nuggets and should be one of the top options off the bench if he doesn't earn the starting small forward spot.

Impact Though he's not yet practicing in full while he manages the sprained left ankle, Beasley has a few more days to get healthier before the Jazz open their season Wednesday against the Nuggets. Rudy Gay - Solid off bench in loss Gay recorded 16 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and six rebounds over 19 minutes in a preseason loss to the Mavericks on Friday.

Impact Gay finished second on the team in scoring in the contest despite playing less than 20 minutes. This was the first time in three exhibition games that he finished with double-digit points. The veteran isn't a great fit on the rebuilding Jazz, so he shouldn't be expected to put up fantasy-relevant numbers while he's on the team. There's a decent chance that he gets moved elsewhere during the campaign.

Lauri Markkanen - Posts another double-double Markkanen tallied 21 points (9-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists over 29 minutes in Friday's preseason loss to Dallas.

Impact Markkanen led the Jazz in both scoring and rebounds and finished with an efficient shooting mark from the field. He logged back-to-back double-doubles to finish the preseason slate and averaged 16.5 points and 6.8 boards across four games overall. With Utah in rebuild mode, Markkanen could see plenty of opportunity this season, making him an intriguing sleeper option in fantasy.
