Malik Beasley - Won't play Tuesday Beasley (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's preseason game against San Antonio, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.
Impact Beasley continues to work his way back from a left ankle sprain and is not yet ready to take the floor. It is reassuring that he's been able to practice in a limited capacity, however. Beasley's next chance to return to game action arrives Friday against Dallas.

However, without logging a full practice, it's unlikely he'll play Tuesday against the Spurs, though it does appear like the 6-foot-4 wing will be available when the Jazz open the regular season against the Nuggets on Oct. 19.

Impact Beasley has now missed two consecutive days of practice after spraining his ankle during Tuesday's preseason game against Portland, so the issue is clearly still bothering him. However, if he can resume practicing within the next few days, Beasley should have a chance to return for Utah's next preseason game Tuesday against the Spurs.

Impact Olynyk bounced back after going scoreless in the first preseason game. The veteran has huge shoes to fill, and life without Rudy Gobert will be an uphill battle for the Jazz. Olynyk won't be alone in trying to fill that hole, as Lauri Markkanen and Jarred Vanderbilt are quality frontcourt additions to help the cause.
