Impact The 2022 lottery pick was cleared to make his season debut Monday after missing the Wizards' first two games while recovering from a left elbow sprain. Given that the Wizards aren't expected to vie for a playoff spot in 2023-24, Davis should get the opportunity to prove he belongs in the team's long-term nucleus after he struggled to distinguish himself as a rookie. However, Davis could struggle to earn a dramatic increase in playing time from what he received Monday while all of Jordan Poole, Bilal Coulibaly, Corey Kispert and Deni Avdija are available to absorb minutes on the wing.

Impact Avdija is expected to operate as the Wizards' third-best scoring option behind Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole. While his early-season numbers have not been eye-popping, they've been decent -- he has scored between nine and 11 points while pulling down at least six rebounds in each of his first three games of the campaign. Avdija is valuable enough to be an asset in most formats, though he's still very young and is certainly a player worth keeping close tabs in dynasty and keeper leagues.

Kyle Kuzma - Scores team-high 21 points Kuzma supplied 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds and four assists over 26 minutes during Monday's 126-107 loss to Boston.
Impact Kuzma was the only Washington player who scored more than 20 points in this one, and his role as one of the Wizards' main scoring threats is pretty much set in stone. While Kuzma tends to be a volume scorer, he was pretty efficient in this particular game, and he's made 48.2 percent of his shots (while averaging 18.7 attempts per game) so far. Three games are a small sample size to work with, but this is an encouraging start for him.

Tyus Jones - Comes close to double-double Jones totaled 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Monday's 126-107 loss to Boston.
Impact The Wizards struggled badly on offense and looked overmatched against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, but Jones found a way to salvage his fantasy with his seven assists. He's going to hold a secondary role on offense behind Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, but he should rack up decent assist numbers on a regular basis. In fact, Jones has dished out at least six dimes in each of his first three games of the season.

Patrick Baldwin Jr. - Third-year option picked up The Wizards exercised Baldwin's third-year team option for 2024-25 on Monday, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Impact Baldwin has yet to show he can be a viable rotation player through 33 career NBA appearances, but Washington will keep him on board as a developmental option. He was acquired along with Jordan Poole in an offseason deal that sent Chris Paul to Golden State.

Corey Kispert - Team option exercised The Wizards exercised Kispert's $5.71 million team option for 2024-25 on Monday, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Impact Kispert has blossomed into a quality perimeter threat since joining the Wizards as the 15th overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft. The 24-year-old buried 42.4 percent of his 5.2 three-point attempts per game last season, and he's on a similar pace through Washington's first three contests of the 2023-24 campaign.

Impact Kispert came off the bench for a second consecutive matchup Saturday but saw plenty of playing time and doubled his scoring total from Opening Night. The 24-year-old has unsurprisingly been unable to generate much production in secondary categories, but it's been encouraging to see him open the year with back-to-back double-digit scoring totals.

Impact Gafford played through the injury Saturday, logging his normal workload to the final buzzer. Impact Kuzma finished the game with more shot attempts than points scored, but as was the case in the regular-season opener, the veteran forward surpassed the 20-point mark for the second time in two games. Kuzma will deliver most of his value through his scoring numbers on a regular basis, but there's no question he needs to improve his shooting efficiency from deep, as he has made just two of his 14 three-point attempts so far.
