ImpactBrown struggled with his shot Thursday, joining his teammates -- 40.4 percent shooting as a team -- with collective shooting woes. Currently lacking Kevin Durant (knee) and Ben Simmons (conditioning), Brown is a candidate to retain a respectable role once the Brooklyn frontcourt returns to full health. The 25-year-old averaged 8.8 points and 5.4 rebounds on 55.6 percent shooting across 65 games for the Nets last season.

ImpactGill, a 29-year-old journeyman who made his NBA debut with the Wizards last season, has now played over 15 minutes in five straight contests. While unremarkable, he's holding his own in a limited sample size. The Virginia product is unlikely to earn a larger role at this time.

ImpactInfrequently utilized, Carter has supplied at least 13 points in three of Brooklyn's past 10 games. While that production doesn't merit fantasy consideration, it's notable given that Carter had hit double-digit scoring just once this season prior to that stretch. When he scores, it's from deep. Carter is a career 36.9 percent shooter from beyond the arc across 203 appearances.
