Impact Trautman recorded season highs in catches and yards while playing his highest percentage of the Saints' offensive snaps (65) through four weeks. The 25-year-old also led the team's tight end corps in offensive snaps played (39 of 60) ahead of Juwan Johnson (29) and J.P. Holtz (11), the latter of whom was elevated from the practice squad for Week 4. With Michael Thomas (foot) out and banged-up wideouts Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave both limited to under 68 percent of New Orleans' offensive snaps, starting quarterback Andy Dalton spread seven of his 28 pass attempts between Trautman and Johnson. Trautman caught his lone target for nine yards over the previous three weeks, and his production likely will take a hit once Thomas returns.

Impact Trautman notched a catch on his first target of the 2022 campaign while playing a season-high 52 overall snaps Sunday. The 25-year-old's offensive snap share (64 percent) alongside tight end Juwan Johnson (68 percent) also was the closest it's been over the first three weeks of the season. Impact Expectations were relatively high for Trautman entering the season with the No. 1 role at tight end seemingly all to himself. While he logged a majority of the snaps whenever he was available, Trautman ran a route on just over a third of his snaps, and his lone productive fantasy outing came against the Eagles' league-worst defense versus tight ends. Otherwise, he mainly provided value as a blocker as the Saints revolving door at quarterback made it hard for any New Orleans pass catcher to generate consistent production. Even though Trautman should again see plenty of playing time entering his third season in 2022, the 24-year-old will need to see heightened usage as a receiver in order to become a dependable fantasy option.

Impact Trautman logged 83 percent of the offensive snaps but was never targeted with a pass. While he has consistently logged a lion's share of the playing time when healthy this year, his only decent fantasy performance came in Week 11 against the Eagles' league worst defense against tight ends. Otherwise, Trautman hasn't been worthy of much attention in the fantasy realm, and it should remain that way in Week 18 against Atlanta.
