Tests positive for COVID-19 Davis (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Impact Davis' addition to the COVID list potentially leaves the Jets thin at safety when they host the Jaguars on Sunday. With Elijah Riley in concussion protocols and Sharrod Neasman also on the COVID list, that doesn't leave much depth if they were unable to suit up. If Davis is vaccinated, he can return after producing two negative tests more than 24 hours apart. If he is unable to clear protocols, Will Parks would likely be stepping into a significant workload.

Impact Davis intercepted Tua Tagovailoa's first pass of the game and returned it 18 yards to set up a field goal. The only other interception Davis has in his two NFL seasons was also thrown by Tagovailoa when these teams met four weeks ago. Davis also finished third on the team in tackles, trailing linebackers C.J. Mosley (14) and Quincy Williams (11).
