Impact Elliss had a monster performance in the Falcons' Week 8 win over the Buccaneers, tallying 11 total tackles across 68 defensive snaps. However, it now appears the Idaho product picked up a knee injury in the process. If Elliss is unable to suit up for the Falcons' Week 9 matchup against the Cowboys, expect JD Bertrand (concussion) or Nate Landman to see increased work with Atlanta's first-team defense.

Impact Andersen has missed each of the Falcons' last four games due to a knee injury sustained in the team's Week 4 win over the Saints. He practiced in a limited fashion last week and has begun Atlanta's new week of practice as a limited participant once again. His participation Thursday and Friday is likely the best indication of whether he can return in Week 9, when the Falcons host the Cowboys.

Impact Bertrand played 37 total snaps (16 defensive and 21 on special teams) and recorded two total tackles in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay; however, it appears he picked up a concussion in the process. He'll need to clear the NFL's five-step protocol in order to suit up in Week 9, when the Falcons host the Cowboys.

Misses Wednesday's practice Lindstrom (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Lindstrom was cleared to return to Sunday's win over the Buccaneers after exiting earlier with a knee injury, so Wednesday's DNP is likely precautionary. However, if the 27-year-old offensive lineman is unable to upgrade to limited work either Thursday or Friday, he could miss Week 9's matchup against the Cowboys.

Limited to open week Simmons (hamstring) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Simmons suffered a hamstring injury during the Falcons' Week 7 loss to the Seahawks, which was severe enough to keep him off the field for Week 8 against the Buccaneers. His limited session Wednesday is a step in the right direction after ending last week with a DNP, and his practice participation over the next two days will give a clearer picture on his availability for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Misses another FG attempt Koo made one of two field-goal attempts and all four extra-point tries during Sunday's 31-26 win over the Buccaneers.

Impact After a perfect start to the season, Koo has gone just 7-for-11 on field-goal attempts over the past four weeks, with all his misses coming from beyond 40 yards. His inconsistency from deep drops his value, but the Falcons' offense continues to impress, meaning Koo should get plenty of chances to bounce back.

Designated to return Dalman (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Impact Dalman has missed the Falcons' last four games after sustaining an ankle injury in the team's Week 4 loss to the Chiefs. However, his 21-day practice window was opened Wednesday and he could return to the field as soon as Week 9's matchup against the Cowboys. If Dalman is not activated to Atlanta's active roster in the next 21 days, he'll revert to IR.

Four touches against Tampa Bay McCloud caught all three of his targets for nine yards and added one carry for 17 yards in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Buccaneers.

Impact McCloud's three targets in the contest were tied for a season low and the veteran was unable to get much going as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Drake London and Darnell Mooney. As long as both London and Mooney are healthy, McCloud will find it difficult to produce consistently in a passing attack with several mouths to feed. Through eight games, the 28-year-old wideout has recorded 29 receptions for 277 yards and has yet to find the end zone. Up next for McCloud is a Week 9 matchup against the Cowboys.

Modest production in win Allgeier rushed 12 times for 33 yards in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Buccaneers.

Impact Allgeier played 22 of the Falcons' 62 offensive snaps Sunday, well behind starter Bijan Robinson who was on the field for 42 snaps. Despite the lopsided playing time in favor of Robinson, the 24-year-old earned a near-even split in carries with Robinson, handling 12 carries to Robinson's 13 attempts on the ground. Allgeier was not involved in the passing game, while Robinson saw seven targets against the Buccaneers. Going forward, he'll continue to operate as the backup and hold minimal standalone value, though he would get a major boost if Robinson were to miss time down the stretch. The Falcons are set to host the Cowboys in Week 9.

Impact The Clemson product finished tied as the Falcons' second-leading tackler Sunday, trailing only Kaden Elliss' 11-stop effort. Terrell was also one of two Falcons to pick off Baker Mayfield in Week 8, intercepting a pass in the fourth quarter to help Atlanta maintain a two-score lead. The 26-year-old corner is expected to continue making plays for the Falcons' defense in Week 9, when the Cowboys come to Atlanta.

Impact The veteran safety picked off Baker Mayfield on the Buccaneers' first drive coming out of half time, bringing his season total up to two interceptions. Bates has also accumulated 50 total tackles, four passes defended and three forced fumbles through Atlanta's first eight games. He's expected to continue starting alongside Justin Simmons as part of one of the the best safety duos in the NFL ahead of Week 9, when the Falcons host the Cowboys.
