Has mid-foot sprain Ridley has been diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Ridley went down Thursday at Carolina, holding his left foot at the end of a catch. While he was able to walk off the field under his own power, he didn't return to the contest. An ensuing X-ray was returned negative, and an MRI also didn't "show much," so the wide receiver is considered day-to-day. With more time than normal to prepare for the Falcons' next game Nov. 8 against the Broncos, Ridley has a good chance to miss no more time due to injury.

Impact It seems the wideout got good news from both X-rays and an MRI, with the Falcons hoping to have him back for Week 9 against the Broncos. It'll help to have 10 days between games after a Thursday contest, but Ridley nonetheless figures to show up on the injury report next week. He was forced out of Thursday's win over Carolina after 23 snaps, catching three of four targets for 42 yards before his departure.

Impact The team announced the injury as an ankle issue after the 25-year-old exited Thursday's win over the Panthers, though Rapoport referred to it as a foot injury. Regardless, the X-ray results are good news, but Ridley's status remains up in the air while awaiting the results of an MRI.

Impact Ridley has endured a slight decrease from his astronomical yardage totals of Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 5, but he also has scored TDs in back-to-back games since Julio Jones returned to the fold. Ridley has now totaled six TDs through seven appearances this season, landing him one short of his total from the entire 2019 campaign. He's also on pace to obliterate standing career highs in receptions (64) and receiving yards (886), as he finds himself on a trajectory for more than 90 catches and 1,400 yards. New Orleans just carved into Carolina for 287 passing yards and three total touchdowns Sunday, meaning Atlanta's high-flying passing attack may be in line for a productive outing against the Panthers on Thursday night.
