In fact, Wilson's yardage output marked a career high, as he led the Cowboys in the category while tying Amari Cooper for the team's best catch tally. Notably, though, Wilson also found the end zone twice, scoring from 14 yards in the first quarter before hauling in a 24-yarder in the second. As Dallas now turns its attention toward the playoffs, Wilson's late-season emergence represents an encouraging development offensively.

Impact Moving into a more prominent role in the second half after Michael Gallup (knee) left the game, Wilson became a big part of the Cowboys' late comeback attempt, catching a two-yard TD from Dak Prescott early in the fourth quarter and then hauling in a two-point try after Amari Cooper's score inside the final five minutes. With Gallup's injury feared to be serious, Wilson will move back into the No. 3 wideout spot on the depth chart for Week 18 against the Eagles and into the playoffs.

Wilson has been serviceable as the Cowboys' No. 4 receiver, but with CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup all healthy, he'll hold little fantasy value going forward.

Tests positive for COVID-19 Dallas placed Wilson on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday after he tested positive for the virus earlier in the day, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Impact Wilson becomes the 20th Cowboys player to land on the list since August and the fourth receiver to test positive for the virus during that time. Unless Wilson is unvaccinated, he'll still be eligible to play Sunday against the Giants, but he'll first need to be asymptomatic for a 48-hour period and test negative for the virus on two occasions at least 24 hours apart. He most recently split work with Malik Turner as the No. 4 wideout behind CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup in Dallas' Week 14 win over Washington, finishing with two receptions for 18 yards across nine snaps on offense.

Impact Wilson picked up an ankle injury during Dallas' Thanksgiving Day loss to the Raiders, and the issue kept him out of practice last week and didn't allow him to play last Thursday at New Orleans. As such, his return to practice Wednesday marks his first activity since Week 12 prep. Wilson will have two more chances to be a full participant Thursday and/or Friday before the Cowboys potentially tab him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Washington.

Impact Wilson had season highs for targets (10) and yards (104) in the Thanksgiving loss to Las Vegas, handling a larger-than-usual role with both CeeDee Lamb (concussion) and Amari Cooper (COVID-19) unavailable. Wilson injured his ankle along the way however, while Lamb is now off the injury report and Cooper is listed as questionable but expected to play. Noah Brown is the likely No. 4 receiver with Wilson out, or else the No. 3 if Cooper doesn't end up playing.

Impact In the Cowboys' last two games, Wilson has earned more snaps than a typical week, logging 63 percent Week 11 at Kansas City and 74 percent Week 12 against the Raiders. The increased work was courtesy of Amari Cooper (illness) sitting out both of them due to being on the reserve/COVID-19 list and CeeDee Lamb missing Thanksgiving's contest with a concussion. However, Wilson suffered an ankle injury last last Thursday and has yet to practice this week. With Lamb clear of the protocol for head injuries and practicing in full Monday and Tuesday, Wilson would be the No. 3 wide receiver, at best, Thursday in New Orleans, but his lack of activity is making him highly questionable to even suit up.
