Impact Injuries limited Pringle to 11 games, and he never caught more than two passes or gained 40 yards in a game. During the preseason, he missed significant time due to injury, and he certainly missed out on building chemistry with Justin Fields. It also didn't help that Pringle was part of a low-volume passing attack that frequently rotated its wide receivers. The only year of his four-year career in which he surpassed 170 yards was when he caught 42 passes for 568 yards and two touchdowns in 2021 with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. He's now an unrestricted free agent.

Trevon Wesco - Slated for free agency Wesco didn't handle an offensive touch in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18, and ended the season with two receptions for 26 yards over 14 games played.
Impact Wesco averaged about 15 snaps per game, but he was targeted four times all year. Primarily a blocker, he has eight receptions over his four-year career, and he hasn't had more than three catches in any season. He's now an unrestricted free agent.

Khari Blasingame - Plays mostly special teams in 2022 Blasingame didn't handle a rushing attempt in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18, and ended the season without an offensive touch.
Impact Blasingame played about 10 snaps per game as a fullback and about 15 per game as a special teamer. He didn't receive a carry and was targeted once all year, and over his four-year career, he has three rushing attempts and 10 receptions. He's now an unrestricted free agent.

Darrynton Evans - Inactive in Week 18 Evans ended the season with 14 carries for 64 yards along with one reception for 33 yards over six games played.
Impact Evans saw his first offensive snaps of the season in Week 11, while Khalil Herbert was on injured reserve. During the five games he was in the running back rotation, he topped out at 18 snaps and handled a total of 14 carries in five games. He's now a restricted free agent.

Trestan Ebner - Limited usage in rookie season Ebner was targeted twice in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18, and ended the season with 24 carries for 54 yards along with two receptions for 16 yards.
Impact Ebner saw most of his opportunities as a running back when David Montgomery missed time during Weeks 3 and 4, but he never played significant snaps in any other game the rest of the season. It's likely that he'll be counted on to continue his role as a kick returner next year, and if he shows progress as a running back, he could see enhanced opportunities in that capacity as well. He's under contract through 2025.

Trevor Siemian - Ends season on injured reserve Siemian ended the season completing 15 of 26 passes for 184 yards with one touchdown pass and an interception.
Impact Siemian struggled in his spot-start against the Jets in Week 12, though that was far from an ideal matchup that also had terrible weather conditions. As backup quarterbacks go, Siemian has been a reasonable option for the Saints and the Bears over the last two years. He'll likely be in a similar role next year, which will be his seventh year in the league. He's under contract with the team through the 2023 season.

Impact After the Bears acquired Claypool in Week 8, his best game was a 51-yard performance, but he was limited to 15 yards or fewer in four of seven games. However, he was playing in a low-volume passing offense where very few receivers produced. Next year, he'll have a full training camp to acclimate to the offense, and he'll likely be given an opportunity to see if he can become Chicago's top receiver. Over the first two years of his career, Claypool averaged 866 yards and 6.5 touchdowns, so there should be potential for improvement. He's under contract with the team through the 2023 season.

Upon his return, he was back to seeing a smaller number of touches that reflected his early-season usage. After rushing for 4.2 yards per a carry in 2021, he was over a full yard per carry better this year, and he often looked to be a superior runner over lead back David Montgomery. With Montgomery set to hit free agency, if the team doesn't re-sign him, Herbert may move right into the lead back role. He's signed through the 2024 season.

Impact In each of his four seasons, Montgomery has produced at least 1,074 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns. Over his career, he's rushed for less than four yards per carry, but he's handled at least 200 carries each season while missing just five games. He's also been solid as a receiver, having posted at least 301 yards in three straight seasons. Although he maintained his hold on the lead role in the backfield, Khalil Herbert cut into his workload and often appeared to be the more explosive runner. It's possible that Chicago lets Herbert take on the lead role in 2023 with Montgomery now an unrestricted free agent.

His future fantasy value will be dependent upon whether the Bears will be able to improve their overall passing attack. He's under contract with the team through the 2023 season.
