INJURIES

Managing foot injury Moore is listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report due to a foot injury.
Impact Moore is tending to the injury after he played a season-high 86 percent of the offensive snaps while contributing four catches for 42 yards on nine targets in this past Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs. For the second straight week, the Texans played without both Nico Collins (foot) and Brandin Cooks (calf), whose absences opened up more snaps and targets for Moore. At this stage of the week, Cooks looks to have a better chance than Collins of playing this Saturday at Tennessee. Collins was listed as a non-participant Tuesday, while Cooks joined Moore as a limited participant.

Paces pass catches in OT loss Moore brought in four of nine targets for 42 yards in the Texans' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Impact Moore once again played the role of No. 1 receiver with Brandin Cooks (calf) and Nico Collins (foot) both sidelined, but unlike a stellar Week 14 showing against the Cowboys when he produced a 10-124-1 tally on 11 targets, the enhanced opportunity didn't lead to very fantasy-friendly numbers. The Texans managed just 125 net passing yards on the afternoon, leaving Moore's modest catch and yardage totals as team-high figures. Moore will naturally be due for a likely hit in targets if at least one of his position mates makes it back for a Week 16 divisional road clash against the Titans on Saturday afternoon.
DECEMBER 18, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Another prime opportunity awaits Moore is poised to be among the Texans' leading pass catchers Sunday against the Chiefs with Brandin Cooks (calf) and Nico Collins (foot) sidelined for a second straight game.
Impact After combining for a 27-314-2 line on 40 targets through his first 11 appearances of the season, Moore took on a larger role last Sunday in Dallas, turning a season-high snap share (80 percent) into 10 catches (on 11 targets) for 124 yards. That came against the Cowboys' stingy pass defense, and he'll now line up versus Kansas City's 22nd-ranked unit (235.5 yards per game). Perhaps the biggest question mark surrounding Moore is who will be throwing him passes, as Davis Mills and Jeff Driskel had a 50/50 split of the QB snaps Week 14.

Chris Moore "Outstanding" against Dallas Cowboys WR Chris Moore notched career highs in catches and yards in Sunday's loss at Dallas. But he wasn't just impactful on offense.
DECEMBER 12, 2022 • HOUSTONTEXANS.COM
Big effort against Dallas Moore recorded 10 receptions on 11 targets for 124 yards in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Cowboys.
Impact Moore saw an increased role with both Nico Collins (foot) and Brandin Cooks (calf) sidelined. He took advantage by doubling any other Texan in targets and yards, and Moore's performance was highlighted by gains of 36 and 31 yards. The only thing missing from his performance was a score, but he still tallied the highest yardage total in a single game of his career. If one of Collins or Cooks can return Week 15 against the Chiefs, Moore likely will see his role fade significantly, but he proved he can deliver with opportunity in Sunday's game.

Impact Moore has seen the majority of his snaps out of the slot this season, but because the 5-foot-9 Amari Rodgers likely isn't suited to play on the perimeter, Moore may be joining Phillip Dorsett as a replacement for the two injured outside receivers. Houston is also expected to add a receiver or two from the practice squad prior to Sunday's game, but among the three healthy wideouts currently on the 53-man roster, Moore leads the way with 314 receiving yards on the season.

Does damage in garbage time Moore recorded three receptions on three targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Browns.
Impact Moore shifted up the depth chart with Brandin Cooks (calf) sidelined to serve as the Texans' second receiver. However, he had only two receptions for seven yards prior to the team's final drive -- which came in garbage time -- when he recorded a 39-yard reception deep down the field. Even if Cooks remains sidelined, it will be difficult to trust Moore moving forward given the state of Houston's offense.

Impact Moore had already been operating as the Texans' clear No. 3 receiver the past three weeks when both Cooks and Nico Collins were available, logging at least 55 percent of the offensive snaps in each of those games while hauling in 10 of 16 targets for 97 yards. Though Collins is available Sunday and should represent the Texans' No. 1 option in the passing game, Cooks' absence should open up more playing time and a few additional looks for Moore and Phillip Dorsett.
DECEMBER 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Many targets, few yards Moore caught five of seven targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Commanders. He added one carry for three yards.
Impact He has taken hold of the slot receiver job, which had been slated for rookie John Metchie (illness), and Moore's caught 12 of 18 targets for 133 yards and a touchdown over the last three weeks. Had the Texans traded Brandin Cooks, Moore's value might have increased even further, but he remains stuck in the third spot on the depth chart.

Logs three catches in loss Moore caught three of six targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Giants in Week 10.
Impact The return of Brandin Cooks, who was inactive Week 9 against the Eagles, reduced Moore's playing time, but he remained a significant part of the passing game. He's third on the depth chart, but Moore is approaching career highs in catches, yards and targets.

Finds end zone in Week 9 loss Moore secured four of five targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in the Texans' 29-17 loss to the Eagles on Thursday night.
Impact Moore set the pace in receptions for the Texans on the night and shared the team lead in targets with Phillip Dorsett. The journeyman wideout also recorded his second touchdown in the last three games when he made a 13-yard scoring grab late in the first half, making it a solid fantasy night overall. Moore's role will take a hit if at least one of Brandin Cooks (wrist/personal) or Nico Collins (groin) is available for a Week 10 road matchup against the Giants.

Expanded role awaits Week 9 Moore, Phillip Dorsett and Tyron Johnson are expected to serve as the Texans' top three receivers Thursday against the Eagles with Nico Collins (groin) ruled out and Brandin Cooks...
Impact Houston has three wide receivers on its practice squad that it could elevate in advance of Thursday's game to provide additional depth, but that group has only one career NFL reception among them and likely wouldn't be significant threats to poach playing time from the likes of Moore, Dorsett and Johnson. Moore and Dorsett were already thrust into elevated roles in the Week 8 loss to the Titans while Collins was sidelined, but Moore failed to draw a target while playing 65 percent of the snaps on offense. Moore, who owns a 10-128-1 receiving line on 16 targets over his six games this season, should have a better chance of being a factor this week with Cooks joining Collins on the sideline, but Moore won't be a safe bet to turn in a fantasy-friendly stat line.
NOVEMBER 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Hauls in first TD of season Moore caught two of four targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Raiders.
Impact After missing the Texans' last game before their bye due to a hip issue, Moore returned to action and got his team on the board with his first TD of the season on a 13-yard grab early in the second quarter. Houston's thin wideout corps got a little thinner Sunday when Nico Collins suffered a groin injury, and Brandin Cooks might be on the trade block, so Moore could be headed for a much more significant role in Week 8 against the Titans.

Active in Week 7 Moore (hip) is active for Sunday's Week 7 game against the Raiders, Drew Dougherty of the team's official site reports.
Impact Moore will therefore be active for the first time since Week 4, as he sat out the Texans' Week 5 game before their bye. The veteran should slide back into his usual No. 3 receiver role behind Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins against Las Vegas.
