Impact Higgins has missed two straight games, but his participation in consecutive practices, albeit in a limited fashion, has him trending toward a return to action Sunday against the Packers. With that in mind, Higgins will presumably need to upgrade to full participation Friday in order to avoid a Week 5 injury designation.

Joe Mixon - Misses another practice Mixon (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Impact With back-to-back absences to start the practice week, Mixon will need to get back on the field Friday in order to have a chance to suit up Sunday against the Packers. If he ends up limited or out this weekend, Baby notes that Samaje Perine would be in line to see added carries, with Chris Evans a candidate to see an expanded third-down role.
