Impact The restructured contract doesn't alter Watson's pay or salary structure, but it spreads out the financial impact of the deal by adding two void years. The quarterback is still under contract, will be paid the next two seasons and then become a free agent in 2027. The restructure does not necessarily mean Watson will be the team's quarterback in 2025, and the state of his injured ankle is not the only unknown. The Browns' are expected to revamp the roster, which could impact Watson's status.

Impact Jeudy was limited in all three of Cleveland's practices but still has the green light to suit up Sunday. He had developed excellent chemistry with Jameis Winston (shoulder), but Jeudy's fantasy prospects are much less appealing now that the volatile Winston has been replaced by the more mobile, weaker-armed Dorian Thompson-Robinson as Cleveland's starting quarterback. Jeudy had just 20 yards in Robinson's first start of the season in Week 16 against the Bengals.

Keeping kicking job another week Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday that Hopkins will be the team's kicker Sunday against Miami, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Hopkins has been struggling mightily of late, and though he didn't attempt any field goals in last Sunday's loss to Cincinnati, he missed his lone extra-point attempt. That performance came one week after Hopkins received a game off to try to get back on the right track following a rough stretch. The veteran placekicker had missed both of his field-goal tries -- both under 50 yards -- the previous week and is just 2-for-7 on attempts since Cleveland's Week 10 bye. Nonetheless, the Browns will stick with Hopkins for at least one more contest despite signing Andre Szmyt to their practice squad Tuesday.

Impact With Njoku sidelined in Week 15, Akins narrowly out-snapped Blake Whiteheart 33 to 23, but it was Akins who ran 25 routes to Whiteheart's seven in the pass game. Impact Jeudy -- who is coming off a two-catch, 20-yard effort in Week 16, was also deemed a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, so the wideout will probably have to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Dolphins without an injury designation. If available this weekend, Jeudy is likely to continue to work with QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (calf), who was also limited Thursday but trending toward a second straight start.
