Limited opportunity in return Cook (ankle) rushed nine times for 34 yards and secured two of six targets for 10 yards in the Vikings' 14-7 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
Impact Cook was able to avoid a second straight absence, but he wasn't able to deliver much for fantasy managers in his return while sharing plenty of snaps with backup Alexander Mattison. The Vikings did try to get Cook involved a fair amount in the passing game, but the 26-year-old and Kirk Cousins had trouble connecting more often than not. Cook may not have been at full health Sunday, so perhaps another week will help him generate much better output in a favorable Week 5 matchup against the Lions.

Impact Sidelined Week 3 due to a right ankle sprain, Cook put himself into a position to return Sunday after logging three consecutive limited practices. As of Friday, coach Mike Zimmer told Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press that Cook "looked pretty good today," and prior to Sunday's kickoff the running back relayed to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, "Expect me to be me." Now that he's officially confirmed as available to the Vikings offense, Cook is slated for his typical role, which so far has resulted in 25 touches for 126 yards from scrimmage per game to go with one touchdown in two contests this season.

Impact Cook didn't quite show enough to avoid a game designation, but it does seems he's trending toward a return after practicing Wednesday through Friday, albeit in a limited capacity. If he does end up a game-time decision, fantasy managers will at least have plenty of alternatives with the Vikings and Browns scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Alexander Mattison filled in for Cook last week and had 171 total yards on 68 percent snap share in the 30-17 win over Seattle.
