Stellar showing goes for naught Jones completed 22 of 32 passes for 249 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while adding 95 rushing yards and another score on nine carries in the Giants' 30-29 loss to Was... Impact Playing behind a porous offensive line that allowed him to get sacked four times and hit on seven occasions overall, Jones persevered and put together a gutsy turnover-free performance. The third-year signal-caller was especially impressive as a runner, and his six-yard touchdown jaunt in the first quarter opened the scoring on the night. Jones displayed his greatest rapport with veteran Sterling Shepard, but he hit the speedy Darius Slayton for his one touchdown pass, a 33-yard strike midway through the third quarter. Jones certainly contributed numbers good enough to secure a victory, but he'll head into a Week 3 home date against the Falcons a week from Sunday still in search of his first 2021 win.
