'Never satisfied' Patriots head into bye week on a 10-game winning streak after beating Giants

The New England Patriots went from winning 11 consecutive AFC East titles during the Bill Belichick and Tom Brady era, to looking up to Buffalo in each of the past five seasons
DECEMBER 2 • Associated Press
Cashes in Dart's only TD pass Slayton finished with two receptions on three targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 33-15 loss to the Patriots.
Impact Slayton wound up being the beneficiary of Jaxson Dart's (concussion) only touchdown strike in the rookie signal-caller's return to action Monday night. The 28-year-old Slayton finished well behind fellow starter Wan'Dale Robinson and TE Theo Johnson in terms of targets (eight apiece), so fantasy managers shouldn't overreact to the former's first trip to the end zone in 2025. The Giants will be on a bye in Week 14, with Slayton profiling as only a deep-league option in fantasy when the team resumes play on Dec. 14.

Will play against New England Slayton (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Patriots, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Slayton's practice reps were limited during Week 13 prep due to a hamstring issue, but he and Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) have both been given the green light to play Monday. The wide receiver duo will be catching passes from Jaxson Dart after the rookie QB cleared the league's concussion protocol. Slayton has caught 24 passes (on 37 targets) for 366 yards across nine regular-season games.

Remains limited Friday Slayton (hamstring) was limited in practice Friday.
Impact Slayton and fellow WR Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) have been listed as limited on both of the Giants' practice reports so far this week, meaning they'll have just one more chance to prove their respective levels of health before the team potentially gives them designations ahead of Monday's contest in New England. If Robinson is active Week 13, he'll be working with rookie QB Jaxson Dart, who cleared the concussion protocol Friday.

Limited on practice estimate Slayton (hamstring) was listed as limited on Thursday's estimated injury report, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Slayton has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury since early October and was sidelined for each of Weeks 6, 7 and 11. He was able to return to action this past Sunday in Detroit, but his 63 percent snap share resulted in just one catch (on two targets) for 23 yards. Fellow WR Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) also was listed as limited Thursday, so the status of the Giants' top two options at the position is up in the air as they prepare for Monday's contest at New England. Meanwhile, rookie QB Jaxson Dart has cleared the concussion protocol, so Slayton will be working with his typical starting signal-caller if he's active himself Week 13.

One catch in return Slayton caught one of two targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 34-27 overtime loss to the Lions.
Impact Slayton announced his return from a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury with a 23-yard catch on the game's first play, but he didn't catch his only other target the rest of the way. Jameis Winston threw for 366 yards, but Wan'Dale Robinson was Winston's go-to receiver, as Robinson caught nine of 14 targets for 156 yards and a touchdown. Slayton has yet to score a touchdown heading into a Week 13 road game against the Patriots, and he has topped 60 receiving yards only three times, though two of those three games came in Slayton's last two outings prior to his hamstring injury.

Cleared to return Slayton (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Detroit, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Slayton returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant and apparently didn't need long to prove his readiness. He'll jump back in as a starter after a one-game absence, now catching passes from Jameis Winston instead of Jaxson Dart, who will miss a second straight game due to a concussion.

Limited in return to practice Slayton (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Slayton thus was back on the practice field for the first time since he hurt his hamstring Week 10 at Chicago, but he was contained to individual drills, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Friday's injury report will reveal Slayton's odds to suit up Sunday in Detroit, but Wan'Dale Robinson, Isaiah Hodgins, Jalin Hyatt and Gunner Olszewski are the Giants' current healthy wide receivers on the active roster.

Back at practice Slayton (hamstring) participated in individual drills at Thursday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Impact This marks Slayton's first notable on-field work since he injured his hamstring Week 10 in Chicago. He worked with the Giants' training staff on the side at Wednesday's session, so he appears to be ramping up his activity level this week. Thursday's injury report will reveal if Slayton was limited or full in his return to practice.

Still not practicing Slayton (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Slayton hasn't mixed into any drills since he injured his hamstring during a Week 10 loss in Chicago, but he was spotted working on the side with the Giants' training staff at Wednesday's session, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Slayton will have two more chances this week to put himself in a position to potentially return to action Sunday at Detroit. At the moment, Wan'Dale Robinson, Isaiah Hodgins, Jalin Hyatt and Gunner Olszewski are the healthy wide receivers on the active roster.

Ruled out for Week 11 Slayton (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Slayton returned to last week's loss at Chicago after exiting with a groin injury, but he had just four yards in the second half and then missed practice all of this week. The Giants are left with Ray-Ray McCloud, Jalin Hyatt, Gunner Olszewski and Isaiah Hodgins behind Wan'Dale Robinson at wide receiver, after the Broncos poached Lil'Jordan Humphrey from New York's practice squad earlier this week. The Giants might also consider bringing Ihmir Smith-Marsette or Dalen Cambre up from the practice squad.
NOVEMBER 14 • ROTOWIRE
Still not practicing Slayton (hamstring) won't practice Friday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Impact With three straight 'DNPs' this week, Slayton is trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Packers, an outcome that could be confirmed later Friday, when the Giants post their final Week 11 injury report. If Slayton is sidelined this weekend, Gunner Olszewski and current practice squad member Ray-Ray McCloud would figure to see added snaps alongside WR Wan'Dale Robinson.
NOVEMBER 14 • ROTOWIRE
Another DNP on Thursday Slayton (hamstring) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Slayton suffered a hamstring injury during the Giants' Week 10 loss at Chicago but toughed it out en route to four catches (on four targets) for 89 yards and one touchdown while playing 63 percent of the snaps. He has yet to mix into drills this week, but he was spotted working with trainers on the side during Thursday's session, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Friday's practice likely will be key for how Slayton is listed ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers.

NOVEMBER 12 • GIANTS.COM
Still bothered by hamstring injury Slayton (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Slayton got off to a hot start in Sunday's eventual 24-20 loss to the Bears, but he caught just one pass for four yards after missing a chunk of the second quarter to be evaluated for a hamstring injury. He did finish with a 63 percent snap share, and his 89 receiving yards led the team even though he had just four targets (compared to 11 for Wan'Dale Robinson and eight for Theo Johnson). In other Giants news, interim head coach Mike Kafka is moving QB Jameis Winston ahead of Russell Wilson on the depth chart, which likely means Winston will start this Sunday against the Packers (with Jaxson Dart in concussion protocol). Winston's reputation for attempting aggressive throws downfield could work well for Slayton's fantasy production, but only if the hamstring cooperates and the Giants do a decent job of protecting Winston.
NOVEMBER 12 • ROTOWIRE
Makes OBJ-like catch in loss Slayton (hamstring) caught all four of his targets for 89 yards in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Bears.
Impact Two weeks prior to the 11th anniversary of Odell Beckham's iconic one-handed catch, Slayton put on his best Beckham impression with a one-handed 31-yard catch on the final play of the first quarter. Slayton followed that up with a 38-yard catch immediately on the other side of the break. He led the Giants in receiving yards Sunday despite exiting briefly to have his hamstring checked out, but all of Slayton's production came before Jaxson Dart was knocked out of the game in the second half due to a concussion. If Dart isn't cleared to face the Packers in Week 11, Slayton would be hard to trust in fantasy despite his role as the top downfield option among Giants wide receivers.
