Impact Estime's 15 offensive snaps were the most played by any Broncons running back in the contest. The rookie running back has impressed Denver's coaching staff during training camp due to his physicality as a rusher, so he could be an intriguing option for early-down and goal-line work behind Javonte Williams. Nonetheless, Estime is also competing with Jaleel McLaughlin and Samaje Perine within Denver's backfield rotation. The Notre Dame product will likely see a good deal of work in the Broncos' preseason finale against the Cardinals.

Impact Stevens expects coach Sean Payton to make an announcement in the coming days, after Nix completed eight of nine passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-2 win over Green Bay while leading the Broncos to 10 points on their first two drives. Nix was also solid in the preseason opener -- 15-of-21 passing for 125 yards and a TD -- and his scrambling has been encouraging from a fantasy standpoint (six rush attempts for 29 yards in two games). Veteran quarterback Jarrett Stidham has been much less impressive this preseason, completing 11 of 18 passes for 102 yards with one rushing TD and two interceptions.

Adam Trautman - Catches Nix's first home pass Trautman caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 27-2 preseason win over the Packers.
Impact Trautman caught the first pass thrown by quarterback Bo Nix on the opening drive. Due to Trautman's blocking prowess, he is the favorite to lead Denver's tight ends in playing time during the 2024 regular season, though Greg Dulcich and Lucas Krull both have higher ceilings as pass catchers. Dulcich caught both of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's win, while Krull finished with two catches for six yards on three targets.

Impact Stidham watched Bo Nix lead Denver's offense to 10 points on the first two drives, then played the next four drives. The 28-year-old quarterback showed toughness on his touchdown run late in the first half, but that play accounted for Denver's only points during Stidham's time in the game, and he proceeded to throw an interception on the first drive of the third quarter. Stidham seems to have fallen behind the rookie Nix in Denver's quarterback competition heading into next Sunday's preseason finale against the Cardinals, though the team has yet to officially declare a starter for the regular season.

Jaleel McLaughlin - Second in RB rotation again McLaughlin rushed three times for 17 yards and caught his only target for four yards in Sunday's 27-2 preseason win over the Packers.
Impact McLaughlin was the second running back into the game for Denver after Javonte Williams, working ahead of Audric Estime and Samaje Perine. He handled only four touches in this game after logging nine in the preseason opener against the Colts. McLaughlin is seemingly locked in as Williams' top backup, so it's possible neither of them will play much in next Sunday's preseason finale against the Cardinals as Denver sorts out the rest of its backfield depth chart.
